Our own Don Aultman will take you by the hand and give you everything you need to be two-steppin' with these step-by-step sessions! This Special Beginners Two-Step Event is before our regular Country Dance times beginning at 5:00PM and is FREE for GRR members and only $5.00 for non-members. What a Deal! And best of all he is one of our regular country dancers!

The Tampa Bay Yo Ho Hoedown May 23-25, 2008 Tampa, Florida, USA

The 2008 Annual Convention of the IAGLCWDC, aka The Tampa Bay Yo Ho Hoedown, is a major fundraising effort of the IAGLCWDC. There will be workshops and forums for all. Providing education in country western dancing as well as a forum for the exchange of ideas among member clubs. Country dancing every evening in the ballroom, and be sure to check out the hospitality rooms. Sponsored by member organizations throughout the country! If you're a newcomer to IAGLCWDC conventions, here is some information you will find useful about our traditions. While in Tampa be sure to make time to check out nearby attractions or taste the local night life.

Join the Grand River Renegades as They Help Celebrate West Michigan Pride '08

The Grand River Renegades return for the fourth year to help make West Michigan Pride the unique and fun celebration it has become. The Renegades have joined in the festivities by performing a country western dance set and inviting everyone at West Michigan Pride to join in the fun with the last line dance. Please support West Michigan Pride and come on out and meet us the Grand River Renegades. The area's largest Gay & Lesbian Country & Line Dance Group. Saturday, June 21 - Noon - 10:00 PM John Ball Zoological Garden: 616-336-4300 1300 Fulton St W Grand Rapids , MI * Volunteers needed to help with the clean up and take down after the Pride activities. Friday & Saturday, August 15 & 17, 2008 Mark Your Calendar Now for Campit's Biggest Wild Wild West Weekend Ever!

Willd Wild West Weekend at Campit Grand River Renegades will be Hosting this exciting event. Come see what all the hootin' and hollerin' is all about at Campit's Wild Wild West Weekend. Gerry will be spinning some great Country dance tunes again this year. And, speaking of dancing there will be something for everyone from Country Dancing, Line Dancing and Square Dancing. A Texas size event full of sexy cowboys and cowgirls and big country gay rodeo fun! We're revving it up with  western dance parties, chuck wagon BBQ dinner, live entertainment, raffles, western movie night, horseshoe toss, rodeo volunteer school, GRR fund raising pancake breakfast, day trips, free tickets to the ILGRA Windy City Rodeo, the pool will be open and our first rodeo-style games event!!!   For competitors, we have cash prizes for the horse competition, ribbons and trophies for goat dressing, and the “BIG” horseshoe toss. Got a horse? Go ahead and bring ‘em along - we've got boarding available less than a mile from Campit. We may even pick our Mr. or Ms. Renegade or Mr/Ms Wild, Wild West. So check it out! Day and Weekend passes available.

• Sunday, June 15: Gay Day at Cedar Point. Joe L. will be booking a cabins for anyone interested for this overnighter. Let Joe L. know if you want to go.
• Saturday, June 21: West Michigan Pride , Noon till 10 PM. The Renegades will be a Pride Partner so we need 5 volunteers for that day, help with set up, during the day or take down. If you are available, contact Steve P.
• Saturday, June 28: Michigan Pride in Lansing.
• Sunday, July 13: Tea Dance at Douglas Dunes and "Leather Cowboy - Patio" contest.
• Sunday, July 26: MIGRA camp-out and dance, south of Lansing.
• Friday & Saturday, August 15 - 17 Dancing Fun at Campit's Biggest Ever Wild Wild West Weekend and horse contest. A good time to pick our Mr. or Ms. Renegade or Mr/Ms Wild, Wild West.
• Saturday & Sunday, August 23-24: Chicago Gay Rodeo
• Sunday, September 21 : Tea Dance at Douglas Dunes and "Cowbear Contest".
• Sunday, October 5: Pulaski Day weekend--its Polka time!
